Overview

OptimumPharmacy.ca is a Canadian healthcare website serving patients and referring clinics. I modernized the infrastructure and automated the form workflows, then built out a new subdomain for fertility services.

The Problem

Staff were routing submitted form data to clinics by hand, which delayed patient care. The site also needed a section for fertility services, and its mobile layout drifted from page to page.

My Role

Led the revamp: infrastructure refactoring, the form automation, and the subdomain and DNS setup. Worked with the client to keep up with their healthcare compliance requirements as those changed.

Challenges

The form automation had to be reliable enough for a healthcare context, where a missed notification delays patient care. Every submission archives a backup before any clinic alert fires.

What I Learned

Delivery confirmation is the piece I'd add next. The backup archive proves a submission arrived, but nobody can tell whether the clinic opened the alert.
