Overview

Mega Save Optical is a family-run optical store on Bloor Street West in Toronto. The project delivered a professional website that showcases their services, reinforces community trust, and drives local foot traffic for appointments and eyewear.

The Problem

The store had no meaningful online presence. Without a proper site, they were missing customers who search locally for opticians — especially for appointments, eyewear brands, and active promotions.

My Role

Designed and built the full site — structure, content layout, responsive implementation, promotional popups, and local SEO setup.

Key Features

  • Five core pages: Home, Brands, Services, About Us, Contact
  • Promotional popups for location details and active offers
  • Fully responsive across all screen sizes including 40-inch ultra-wide monitors
  • Local SEO setup: semantic HTML, clean URLs, and metadata for Toronto search visibility
  • Consistent branding and clear calls-to-action throughout

Challenges

Designing for maximum trust with minimal content — the store's value is its reputation, not a feature list. Communicating that through layout and copy without overcrowding the page.

What I Learned

For local businesses, the website's job is to be clear and credible — not clever. Layout confidence, good typography, and a simple CTA matter more than any feature.
